To strengthen human connection through meaningful, experiential learning with horses — for all people, and especially for communities who need it most.

Who we are
Stable Ground Institute is a nonprofit equine-assisted learning organization where people and horses come together to learn, grow, and build deeper connections.
We believe connection is the foundation of meaningful change — connection to ourselves, to others, and to the natural world. Horses, with their honesty and presence, help reveal how we communicate, relate, and lead.
We serve a wide range of participants, from individuals and families seeking personal growth to organizations looking to strengthen teamwork and leadership. Our general-program offerings include homeschool learning, peer groups, individual coaching with horses, and team-building experiences for professionals and corporate teams.
At the heart of our nonprofit mission, we also provide specialized programs for communities who benefit deeply from connection-centered learning, including foster youth and families, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals impacted by human trafficking. These programs offer safe, regulated, experiential learning that supports trust, confidence, regulation, and relational skills.
Across all offerings, our goal is simple: to create spaces where people and horses learn from one another and discover the power of authentic connection.
