Stable Ground Institute
Our Mission
Stable Ground Institute cultivates connection between people, horses, and the land as a foundation for healing, growth, and resilient relationships.
Through equine-assisted learning, coaching, and nature-based experiences, we create opportunities for individuals, families, and communities to build self-awareness, trust, well-being, and meaningful connection.

Who we are
Stable Ground Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating connection between people, horses, and the land.
Through equine-assisted learning, coaching, and nature-based experiences, we create opportunities for healing, growth, and meaningful relationships.
We believe that connection is the foundation of resilient people, thriving communities, and healthy ecosystems. Horses, with their honesty and presence, help us better understand ourselves and our relationships with others. Nature and the land provide space for reflection, restoration, and learning, reminding us that growth begins with connection.
Our programs serve individuals, families, youth, and organizations seeking personal growth, stronger relationships, and greater well-being. Offerings include equine-assisted learning, individual and group coaching, homeschool enrichment, leadership development, team-building experiences, and community-based programs.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to serving those who can benefit most from connection-centered, trauma-informed learning experiences. We are especially dedicated to supporting foster youth and families, survivors of human trafficking, and others navigating significant life challenges through programs that foster trust, confidence, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships.
Stable Ground Institute is more than a place to learn with horses. It is a place where people reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the natural world. Together, horses, nature, and community create a living environment where growth, belonging, and transformation can take root.
